Business Account Opening Checklist
Opening your business accounts at Space Coast Credit Union is easy. Choose the option that works best for you: online, by phone, or in person. Keep in mind that Certificates of Deposit must be opened at one of our branches.

To ensure a smooth and efficient account-opening experience, please review the guidelines below.
Membership Eligibility
- Membership is open to relatives of current members and individuals who live or work in one of the 34 eligible Florida counties served by Space Coast Credit Union.
- A Business Share Savings account is required for membership (minimum opening deposit: $5).
- All signers must be 18 years of age or older.
- An active Sunbiz filing is required (except for sole proprietors operating under their legal first and last name).
- The following information is required for all individuals owning 25% or more of the business, whether directly or indirectly:
- Full legal name
- Percentage of ownership
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Valid driver’s license or government‑issued identification (with issue and expiration dates)
- Current Address
- Phone number
- Email address

Documentation Required
The following documentation below is needed at time of account opening. Keep in mind, additional documentation may be requested for the individual(s) or business during the account-opening process.
For All Business Types
- Valid driver’s license or government-issued ID for each signer
- EIN Verification*: CP 575 Notice or 147C Letter
*Not required for sole proprietors or single-member LLCs using their SSN as their Business Tax Identification Number

- Partnerships: Full executed Partnership Agreement

- Business Share Savings: $5
- Business Money Market Savings: $2,500
- Free Business Checking: $50
- Business Interest Checking: $4,500
- Certificates of Deposit: $500
